1997 - FEDCO established by Eli Oklejas

Founded as independent company

1998 - First MSP Pump

FEDCO readied its first product, a water-bearing model MSP centrifugal pump for commercial sale with only five employees.

1999 - First turbocharger

FEDCO sells first three Hydraulic Pressure Boosters series HPB turbochargers for export to Egypt.

2003 - General Electric becomes a new partner

General Electric purchases Osmonics, Inc. and FEDCO sees growth, increasing staff to twelve employees.

2005 - New manufacturing plant

FEDCO inaugurates a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Monroe MI

2006 - FEDCO becomes independent

Product development continues and FEDCO launches its first integrated pump & ERD: the HEMI

2007 - #90 on Inc's Top Companies

FEDCO was ranked #90 on Inc’s Top Companies in the Manufacturing Industry’s 5,000 list of independent, privately held and American-based companies.

2009 - Expansion of assembly and testing facility

First expansion at Ternes Drive Facility, expanded space for prototype assembly and testing with R&D area.

2011 - HPB exceeds 80% efficiency

FEDCO makes history with the first turbocharger to break the 80% efficiency barrier. The industry milestone was developed for the 240,000 m³/d Jeddah III desalination plant in Saudi Arabia.

2012 - Singapore office opens

Singapore’s renowned PUB WaterHub houses a new FEDCO overseas sales office, co-located with Torishima Pump Manufacturing Company, Ltd.

2013 - New partnership formed

FEDCO establishes its UAE Sales and Service office was established, co-located with Japan's Torishima Pump Manufacturing Company at the Jebel Ali South Technopark in Dubai. 

2014 - FEDCO inaugurates new, environmentally friendly headquarters 

A second expansion at Ternes Drive facility, increased FEDCO’s world headquarters with 75,000 sq. ft. of environmentally-friendly corporate office and manufacturing space.

2018 - BiTurbo SWRO system introduced

Multi-Stage Multi-Turbo (MSMT) - now known as the BiTurbo -  high recovery SWRO system concept is introduced at the AMTA Membrane Technology Conference. The MSMT is piloted at a resort in Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico with the support of Water Technologies de Mexico.

2019 - FEDCO growth continues

With a staff of almost 100 employees, a solid safety record and continued sales growth, FEDCO continues to add critical positions in engineering, sales and manufacturing to keep pace with our growing offerings.

The success of the MSMT pilot is presented at the IDA World Congress in Dubai.

2020 - FEDCO launches partnership with key market players

FEDCO begins a collaboration with Hydranautics, Piedmont and Protec Arisawa to deliver ultra-high pressure RO for a pioneering brine mining pilot in Saudi Arabia.

2021 - BiTurbo adoption continues

Formerly known as the MSMT, the BiTurbo^TM high recovery RO solution sees strong adoption, with 5 facilities in progress across three contintents.

FEDCO installs its own pilot unit to carry out research on optimizing high recovery RO design and operation.

2022 - FEDCO looks to the future

Emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic with strong sales and renewed ambition, FEDCO sets its sights on bringing the next generation of environmentally friendly desalination to the world.
